Article I: Name

The organization will be known as City University Textile Club.
Hereafter referred to as CUTC.

 Article II: Purpose

The purposes of this Textile Club are:

1. To increase textile knowledge from different view.
2. As a textile student to improve different skill perfectly.
3 To compare as a textile student with other institute.
4. To foster intercultural exchange among students and to encourage development of values and ethnics among the members.
5 .To assist new students in adapting to new environment.
6. To promote increased communications between students, faculty, and staff.

 

Article III: Activities

1. To arrange textile related workshop, seminar, workday, textile day.
2. To arrange different short course on textile dependent.
3. To arrange cultural program, study tour, mill visit, debate
Program, sports, quiz competition, written test, oral test.
4. To published textile magazine.
5. To help up current student with existing student for well job placement.
6. To organize textile fair in the campus.
7. To participate different textile related program on home and abroad.

Article IV: Membership

Section 1

It has Three Membership Categories-
1. Any Student of Department of Textile Engineering of City University, who believe in the objectives of the organization are eligible to be a ‘NORMAL’ member.
2. Only registered member shall known as “SILVER” member.
3. Ex-Student of department of textile engineering shall known as ‘GOLD’ member.

Section 2

To become a voting CUTC member, the participant needs to sign up on the membership roster and pay the membership dues in full amount prior to the elections.

Section 3

To be eligible to hold office, a member should be a current student of CU, be a current member of the organization.

Section 4

Executive member is bound to attain every meeting of cutc

 

Article V: Officers

Section 1

The board of Executive Committee shall consist of:

Section 2

Duties and rights of the officers:

(1)President:

• Will preside over the meetings and present an overall annual report, including a calendar of possible events, in the first general meeting of the year.
• Will represent the CUTC at all conferences, conventions and meetings.
• Can take any emergency decisions provided that he/she consult with General Secretary and Joint Secretary of the executive committee.
• Must attend a meeting with the advisor at least once a semester and discuss possible events and ideas.

(2)Vice President

• Will be the associate officer of President of the organization and will assume all of the rights and duties of the President in his/her absence.

(3)General Secretary:

• Will be the executive officer of the organization.
• Sanction of President he/she will be submits any kind of proposal in the meeting.
• Execute and follow up all the Executive Committee’s decisions for the CUTC.
• Will attend all meetings, including executive meetings.
• Prepare and present the annual report of the CUTC at the first general meeting of the year.

(4)Joint Secretary

• Will be the associate officer of General Secretary of the organization and will assume all of the rights and duties of the General Secretary in his/her absence.

(5)Event Executive

• Decide and call upon meeting dates after consulting with the Executive Committee about CUTC meetings or activities.
• Will be responsible maintaining any kinds of Events.

(6)Finance Executive

• Will be responsible for maintaining records of all the financial transactions of the organization.
• Will consult with the Executive Committee to approve or deny any expenditures of the organization and ensure that generally accepted accounting practices and monetary controls are in place.

(7)Marketing Executive

• Will be responsible for informing all members about CUTC meetings or activities.

(8)Admin Executive

• Will be responsible for maintain any official work of this organization.
• Will attend all meetings, including executive meetings, to record meeting minutes and post it to the website or mailing list.

(9)Sports Executive

• Will be responsible every sports related activities of this organization.

(10) Cultural Executive

• Will be responsible to maintain all kind cultural activities of this organization.

(11) Discipline Executive

• Will be responsible to maintain discipline of this organization.

(12) Media Executive

• Is recommended to be a member of media legislative of this organization.

Section 3

Promotions Officer will be appointed in the following manner:

• Any student member of the CUTC who is interested for any position will submit a letter to the Executive Committee.

• At the end of the period the Executive Committee will hold a meeting where they will decide which candidate is most suitable for the office. The Advisor of the CUTC might be present at this meeting to give his/her opinion.

• The Executive Committee will be announced on the next general meeting.

Section 4

Members shall be removed in this manner:

• If a member fails to maintain Institute requirements for holding office, he/she shall resign immediately.
• If it is believed that a member is not fulfilling his/her constitutional duties or is found to be in substantial disagreement with the principles, then a petition requesting his/her removal must be signed by at least President, General Secretary. Then, upon verification of the validity of the petition, by the advisor and at least two weeks but no more than four weeks from the date of submission, another meeting shall be held at which the grievance will be presented, with both sides having the opportunity to present a case.

Article VI: Advisor

Section 1

Honorable Chairman, Vice Chancellor, Head of Textile Department, and Senior Faculty will serve as the advisor to the organization.
•Any Senior Faculty will serve as the moderator.

Section 2

The duties of the moderator Include:

• Meeting with organization Executives
• Reviewing the yearly budget.
• Signing all required paperwork.
• Advising on issues of risk management, organization leadership and CU policy.

Section 3

If an Advisor steps down, or is removed, the Executive Committee
Will vote for other Advisor.

 

 

 

Article VII: Fees

Section 1

Admission is charged for member in three categories-

(a)For normal member 50 taka per semester.

(b) For silver member 100 taka per semester. 

(c)For gold member 500 taka per Year.

Section 2

Only Faculty, Stuff, Ex-student will be eligible for gold member.

Section 3

Every member will be register their self in every new semester for continue their membership valid, other wise membership will be cancel but member id will valid up to 2years.

 

 

 

 

 

Article VIII: Constitutional Amendments

Section 1

Amendment(s) to the constitution can be submitted to the Executive Committee in writing for consideration. The Executive Committee can call a special general meeting to vote on the proposed amendment(s). A reading or email of the proposed amendment(s) will be required prior to submitting the amendment(s) to a vote.

Section 2

Written notification of the proposed amendment(s) to all voting members must be made by mail or email, at least two weeks in advance of any proposed change in the constitution.

Section 3

The amendment(s) will be adopted upon receiving a two-third vote from the general members present in the special meeting.

Section 4

All amendments are subject to the written approval of CUTC and the Student Activities Committee.
